Hyundai Canada describes the Palisade’s styling as bold, with a commanding front end and a sleek grille. In practice, the shape is tall and squared off, which helps headroom and cargo height. LED headlights with projector lenses, LED running lights, High Beam Assist and LED taillights are standard on every trim. New for 2027, the Night Package can be added to the Ultimate Calligraphy and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid. It replaces chrome with black on the wheels, bumpers, roof rails and Hyundai emblems, and comes in Abyss Black, Creamy White or Ecotronic Grey paint.
Size stays family-friendly but substantial: up to 5,090 mm in length, 1,980 mm across and between 1,805 and 1,830 mm tall, depending on the trim. Both hybrid trims stand on 20- or 21-inch alloys, while the XRT Pro uses 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. The hybrid system pairs a 2.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with electric assist for 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed hybrid automatic sends that power to all four wheels. NRCan rates both the Luxury Hybrid and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid at 8.3 L/100 km in the city, 7.9 on the highway and 8.1 combined, on regular unleaded fuel with a 69 L tank. Hybrid models can tow up to 4,000 lb (1,814 kg) with trailer brakes, and both come with an integrated tow hitch and Trailer Sway Control.
The other three trims run a 3.5 L V6 with 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, connected to an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters. In the Preferred Trend and Ultimate Calligraphy, it is rated at 12.2 L/100 km city and 9.7 highway. The XRT Pro, with its all-terrain tires, is rated at 14.3 city and 10.6 highway. All V6 trims tow up to 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) with trailer brakes. HTRAC all-wheel drive, multi-terrain control modes and auto-levelling rear suspension are standard everywhere.
Technology
Every 2027 Palisade connects to phones through wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and BlueLink gives remote access to the vehicle.
